Chiropractic philosophy and practice have always been to remove interference to life-giving energy. The ancillary treatments reduce the effects of that energy interference but do not directly address it.
The primary energy interference position is taught to be along the energy-carrying nerve as it passes through the intervertebral foramen. Doctors of Chiropractic use the individual spinal vertebra as levers to reduce any energy interference, assuming the vertebra is malpositioned.
This approach resulted in some spectacular recoveries but is not a consistent outcome. Because of the lack of consistency, doctors turned to other care modalities, Acupuncture, Applied Kinesiology, etc. for better patient response.
