A definition of chiropractic based on The Textbook of Medical Physiology is:
Chiropractic: A health care system that supports, opens and maintains the flow of energy frequencies from the Intelligent Autonomic Mind which causes the automatic sequences of life to be expressed in the body. The chiropractic health care system does not use prescription drugs or invasive surgery to maintain the flow.

Sensations of cold make us provide warmth, and other forces cause us to seek fellowship and to reproduce. Thus, the human being is actually an automaton, and the fact that we are sensing, feeling, and knowledgeable beings is part of this automatic sequence of life;”

Being alive is not by choice. The more we understand about life, the more we understand the only choice we have is the quality of being. There is a controlling energy of being that some have called Innate, God, Soul, etc.. Chapter 1 of the Textbook of Medical Physiology goes on to explain that to maintain life the body only responds to a negative stimulus. This response happens at the most minute cellular level. It is a response that requires an intelligence to determine the difference between a positive and a negative stimulus. That intelligence must be present at all levels of being for life to exist.

This statement describes the physiological or functional activities of life, but does not take into consideration that there is an intelligent energy source directing the activities of life.

The sensing, feeling and knowledgeable beings is a response to energy frequencies that must flow unhindered through the body from an intelligent source for life to exist at every level.
